Kaushik Sarkar

I graduated from Jadavpur University with a B.ChE in 2007, before switching gears into Computer Science. I went on to earn a Master’s from the Indian Statistical Institute and a PhD from Arizona State University. I now work as a Software Engineer at Google Canada, leading a team building LLM-based applications for Internet Telephony.

I have been part of the JUAn Toronto community since 2018 and joined the Board in 2023 and served as the President in the year 2024-2025. Currently, I also serve as the Webmaster of the JUAn website.

Outside of work,I am busy navigating life with my curious and energetic 2-year old, an adventure far more unpredictable than any wall I've ever climbed as an amateur rock climber.
